Healthy lifestyle practices play a crucial role in maintaining physical and mental well-being among students in higher education, particularly among young adults typically within the age group of 18–25 years. In recent years, there has been increasing recognition of the importance of developing healthy habits related to nutrition, physical activity, hygiene, and daily routines within institutional settings. Educational institutions play a significant role in shaping these practices through academic guidance and awareness-based initiatives. This study presents a review-based analysis of healthy lifestyle practices among students in higher education, with contextual reference to institutional practices in Bihar. The study adopts a qualitative approach based on secondary data, including academic literature, policy documents, and institutional practices. It examines how awareness programs, classroom discussions, and student participation in health-related activities contribute to the development of healthier lifestyle behaviors. The findings suggest that a balanced combination of institutional support and individual behavioral awareness plays a significant role in promoting healthy lifestyle practices. The study highlights the importance of integrating awareness, participation, and supportive environments to encourage sustainable health-related behaviors among students.
