This paper introduces the Pre-Breath, a pre-temporal regime proposed within the Breathing Universe framework, describing a phase in which neither time, dynamics, nor propagation are yet defined. In this regime, the vacuum is not empty but structurally non-uniform, allowing the accumulation of asymmetry without temporal evolution. This accumulation is characterized by a discrete priming process, in which structural imbalance increases without invoking time as a parameter. When a critical threshold is reached, a transition occurs—the first snap—which establishes the minimal distinction required for temporal ordering. Time is thus interpreted not as a pre-existing background but as an emergent consequence of structural differentiation. Following this transition, oscillatory behavior, coherence, and propagating dynamics become possible, giving rise to the effective physical laws described in later stages of the framework. The Pre-Breath provides a conceptual and structural foundation for the origin of time and dynamics, addressing a gap in existing cosmological and field-theoretic descriptions that typically assume time a priori. By introducing a pre-dynamical phase governed by asymmetry accumulation and threshold activation, the model offers a new perspective on the emergence of temporal and physical structure from an initially non-propagating vacuum state.
