Abstract

The connections of Professor Carl L. Stanitski from Charleston, USA, a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon with Poland are noteworthy. He was born in the USA to a family of Polish immigrants. He participated in the training of Polish orthopedists through the charitable American organization Project Hope and via individual contacts with Polish orthopedists. In 2010, Professor Stanitski became an honorary member of the Polish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (PTOiTr) together with his wife, Professor Deborah Stanitski.
