In modern Russia, much attention is paid to issues of activating public participation in the person of socially oriented non-profit organizations in achieving national goals to improve the health and social well-being of broad sections of the population. An important means of increasing the efficiency of NPO activities is the allocation of targeted subsidies to them for the provision of socially useful services at both the federal and regional levels on the basis of a competitive selection conducted on the basis of an independent examination of projects. Projects of non-profit organizations aimed at rehabilitation and social adaptation of disabled people, medical and social rehabilitation, prevention of social orphanhood and socially significant diseases, formation of motivation for a healthy lifestyle, etc. are called upon to play a major role. The purpose of the study is to analyze the results of the activities of socially oriented non-profit organizations – recipients of subsidies from the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region for the provision of socially useful services. Subject of the research: activities of non-profit organizations in the Sverdlovsk region. Methods: problem-chronological and comparative analysis, content analysis. The following documents were used: regulatory and legal documents at the federal and regional levels, minutes of meetings of the competition commission of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, reports of socially oriented non-profit organizations – recipients of subsidies for the provision of socially useful services. Results. The features of providing subsidies in the sphere of regional healthcare were revealed; the specifics of the work of the competition commissions of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region were shown; the results of the activities of socially oriented non-profit organizations in the development of budget funds were analyzed. Scope and novelty. Budgetary subsidies are aimed at increasing the interest of non-profit organizations in providing socially useful services and activating their position in the work to harmonize public relations. Unique for Russia as a whole is the experience of providing budget subsidies in the Sverdlovsk region aimed at involving the broad masses of volunteer movement participants in socially useful activities in the field of healthcare. Conclusions. Financial support for non-profit organizations in the Sverdlovsk region has received a well-structured regulatory framework, as evidenced by both the results of competitive selections for state subsidies and reports on events held to strengthen public and individual health. Particular attention is paid to activating medical volunteering in providing necessary assistance to needy segments of the population.
