ABSTRACT This study presents a novel approach to understanding and controlling the transmission of Lymphatic filariasis. Our model incorporates key factors influencing the spread of the disease, including the use of mosquito repellents, public awareness campaigns, stages of infection (latent, acute, and chronic), and the challenges of treatment failure. Through rigorous analysis, we assess the conditions under which filariasis can be eliminated or controlled, finding that the disease can be eradicated if the basic reproduction number is kept below one. Conversely, a higher basic reproduction number larger than one leads to persistence of the endemic equilibrium. The model is calibrated using real‐world incidence data from Indonesia, offering a tailored understanding of filariasis dynamics in the region. Global sensitivity analysis reveals the most impactful control strategies, while numerical simulations highlight the effectiveness of specific interventions. Our findings underscore the importance of a comprehensive approach to filariasis prevention and control, with implications for public health strategies in endemic regions.
