PodNotes is an end to end AI based system developed to convert written content into clear and natural sounding podcast audio. The platform supports multiple document formats including PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, and Markdown, allowing users to transform study material, reports, or presentations into audio without additional conversion steps. This project was created with privacy as a core design principle. Unlike many existing tools that store user data for extended periods, PodNotes follows a zero data retention model in which uploaded files and generated outputs are automatically deleted after each session. The system combines modern language processing and speech synthesis technologies to generate structured scripts and expressive voice output while maintaining simplicity in user interaction. The document outlines the technical architecture, system workflow, feature design, and comparative analysis of PodNotes against existing solutions. It also discusses practical use cases across education, professional productivity, content creation, and accessibility. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate a privacy conscious approach to automated audio generation and to provide a foundation for further development in AI assisted learning tools.
