The article investigates methods of organizing left-turn traffic at urban intersections. Based on microscopic modeling in Aimsun, a comparative analysis of three schemes with an assessment of traffic delays is carried out. The shortcomings of the empirical approach to method selection are identified, and the need for simulation modeling to optimize decisions is substantiated.
