We present a novel physical model for the origin of life rooted in Ilya Prigogine’s non-equilibrium thermodynamics. We propose that the key to overcoming the entropic barrier was the integration of semiconducting nanoparticles directly into the lipid membranes of protocells. This model transforms the passive vesicle into an active photo-electrochemical engine capable of light-driven internal synthesis of osmolytes. We introduce the concept of "Migratory Evolution," wherein advanced dissipative structures (nanoparticle-enhanced vesicles) colonize stable islands in equilibrium, recycling their mass and elevating the system's overall complexity. This process is defined as the primary evolutionary driver preceding the emergence of the genetic code. Heredity is achieved through the mechanical transfer and redistribution of catalytic nanoparticles during fusion and fission events.
