This paper explores the role of VR (virtual reality) in foreign language education, focusing on the use of VR headset technologies, VR game environments, and augmented reality to support immersive and interactive language learning. It provides a conceptual and predictive analysis of how virtual reality can enhance second language acquisition through realistic simulations and situational communication tasks. The study highlights the pedagogical potential of VR in reducing speaking anxiety, increasing learner engagement, and improving contextual language use in foreign language classrooms. At the same time, it discusses key limitations, including cost, accessibility, ethical considerations, and the need for teacher training in VR-based instruction.Overall, the paper argues that VR and augmented reality represent a significant shift in language teaching methodology, enabling more experiential, learner-centered education through immersive digital environments and game-based learning systems.
