Preserving digital information is becoming an ever more important role of libraries and archives in our digital society. Digital preservation is an economical, managerial, and technological challenge. While there are many different technical aspects of digital preservation, one of the prominent issues is how and where to store the digital objects that are being preserved. That is why this study explored the preservation of digital information and resources using cloud computing technologies in university libraries. The study identified the various cloud computing technologies adopted in university libraries, types of cloud storage, the level of librarians’ adoption of cloud computing technologies, and concerns related to adopting cloud computing technologies. The study concludes that no doubt the use of cloud computing can improve services and operations and provide genuine advantages for libraries thereby enabling them to be competitive in the information changing and dynamic environment. The study recommended strong trainings and consistent use of the cloud computing technologies to any aspect of services provided in the libraries.
