Amos Developments appointed ARCUS (Archaeological Research and Consultancy at the University of ShefÏeld) to conduct a watching brief on the construction of new access roadways at Fullwood Farm, Hulland, Derbyshire, during February 2003. This watching brief was carried out to fulfil planning conditions. Fullwood Farm lies adjacent to a Deserted Medieval Village (DMV), which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The archaeological watching brief was undertaken to a specification approved by Derbyshire County Council Archaeology Service. The aim was to record any archaeological remains that might be exposed or destroyed during the construction of new trackways at Fullwood Farm. Whilst small quantities of prehistoric worked flint and ceramics of medieval to post- medieval date were recovered from the route of the trackways no significant archaeological features or deposits were encountered during the course of these works.
