Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to share Sejong City’s commercial drone services by referring to the drone service substantiation project in Sejong City in 2021 and 2022. Research design, data, and methodology: It provided a survey for analyzing the performance and limit of Sejong City’s drone services and efficient Sejong City’s Commercial drone services. The survey was conducted on a total of 20 people (Companies participating in the Sejong City drone service substantiation project (7), Sejong City officials (5), and external experts with expertise in drone services (8). Results: As a result of the survey, while it is important that there are sufficient opportunities for drone services and checking the demand of drone services in the view of participating company, it is important that companies based on technological competitiveness participate in drone services in the view of external expert and municipal agent. Implications: First, this study academically contributed to the existing research stream on drone service activation. Second, this study explained the policy considerations for commercialization of drone services with a focus on stakeholders and presented policy directions for consumer-centered activation. More specifically, this study proposed establishing a feedback system for drone services, encouraging technologically competitive companies to participate in the project, exploring ways to connect drone services with smart city national pilot cities, and preparing standardized guidelines for commercialization of drone services. These policy suggestions are differentiated from existing studies and have policy significance in that they reflect the special circumstances of Sejong City. Third, this study presented basic data on the future direction of commercialization of drone services in Sejong City from a public and private perspective through the results of a questionnaire-based qualitative survey analysis
