Abstract:With the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and the deepening of market-oriented reform of project cost, the social demand for project cost professionals has shifted from a single "quantity and cost calculation" skill-based type to a compound type integrating professional skills, comprehensive management, and career development potential. Higher vocational colleges, as the main front for cultivating front-line technical and skilled talents in project cost, must re-examine and systematically construct the students' professional core competency system. This paper first analyzes the new requirements for project cost talents brought by industry changes in the new era. Secondly, through literature research, industry research, and expert interviews, a professional core competency model consisting of four dimensions is constructed: "Professional Competence," "Digital Application Ability," "Project Management and Communication & Collaboration Ability," and "Professional Ethics and Sustainable Development Ability." Finally, targeted cultivation strategies are proposed in five aspects: "Deepening the Integration of 'Post, Course, Competition, and Certificate'," "Constructing a 'Digital' Curriculum Module," "Innovating 'Project-based + Situational' Teaching Models," "Strengthening the Education of 'Craftsman Spirit' and Professional Ethics," and "Establishing a Multi-collaborative Evaluation System," aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical pathways for the reform of talent cultivation in the project cost major of higher vocational colleges.
