These tribes maintain unique culturaltraditions, livelihood systems, and ecological knowledge that reflect a close relationship with nature.The major tribes of Uttarakhand include the Bhotiya, Tharu, Buksa, Raji, and Van Gujjarcommunities. This research paper examines the geographical distribution, socio-economiccharacteristics, cultural practices, and environmental adaptations of these tribal groups. The studyhighlights the importance of understanding tribal lifestyles within the framework of physicalgeography and sustainable development.
