The research is to assess how education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region are taking their roles in human resources, material/financial resources, education services quality, innovation/creativity and beneficiary satisfaction as to achieve competitive advantage of the secondary schools, in viewpoints of school leaders. It also aims to verify the statistical significance variances in responses of research sample individuals to the roles of the education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region in achieving the competitive advantage of the secondary schools due to selected variables (i.e. gender, academic degree and years of experience). To this end, the descriptive survey method was used, and questionnaire was conducted on a stratified random sample of 195 education directors. Upon verifying the authenticity of the questionnaire and after analyzing the responses using the arithmetic averages, standard deviation, tests for two (2) independent samples, Mann-Whitney test for two (2) independent samples and Kruskal-Wallis test; the results were as follows: - Degree of practice of the education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region to their roles in achieving the competitive advantage of the secondary schools, was generally significant. - Degree of practice of the education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region to their roles in human resources, material/financial resources, education services quality, innovation/creativity and beneficiary satisfaction as to achieve competitive advantage of the secondary schools, was significant. - There were statistical significance variances amongst the research sample viewpoints towards the degree of practice of the education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region to their roles in human resources, material/financial resources, education services quality and innovation/creativity as to achieve competitive advantage of the secondary schools due to the gender variable. Variances were in favor of females. - There were no statistical significance variances amongst the research sample viewpoints towards the degree of practice of the education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region to their roles in beneficiary satisfaction as to achieve competitive advantage of the secondary schools due to the gender variable. - There were no statistical significance variances amongst the research sample viewpoints towards the degree of practice of the education directors in Al-Madinah Al-Munawrah region to their roles in beneficiary satisfaction as to achieve competitive advantage of the secondary schools due to the academic degree and years of experience variables. Accordingly, many recommendations and suggestions were delivered.
