Based on the LIGO 2017 GW170814 event data, this work proposes a simplified model centered on the circular Doppler effect to interpret gravitational-wave signals from binary black hole mergers. We propose that gravitational waves are essentially longitudinally propagating magnetic traveling waves generated through far-field induction, with an intrinsic frequency . The gravitational magnetic field induces polarization rotation in the optical medium of the LIGO Fabry–Pérot cavity, which is then converted into an observable phase difference. The model therefore establishes a complete interpretive framework of magnetic traveling wave – Doppler modulation – magneto-optic readout and shows consistency with the LIGO data in terms of frequency characteristics, inspiral timescale, and sensitivity curve. Gravitational waves are longitudinally magnetic traveling waves. The gravitational-wave signal measured by LIGO is the phase difference generated by Faraday rotation, and its waveform can be interpreted by the Doppler beat structure produced by the circular motion of a binary black hole system.
