In the language herein described, an inflected word consists of a stem and an inflectional ending, these being defined as follows: A stem consists of a verb base, or of an adjective base plus the adjectival morpheme. A verb base or an adjective base may be simple, complex, or compound (see §4.3.1). The adjectival morpheme occurs with one category of base, and marks these as adjective bases. An inflectional ending consists of a modal suffix morph, sometimes preceded by one or more premodal suffix morphs.
