This research presents a robust, five-stage authentication framework designed to eliminate proxy attendance in academic environments. The "CU Smart Attendance System" integrates facial recognition (Face-API.js) with multi-factor validation, including JWT-based dynamic credentials and GPS-based proximity sensing to ensure student presence within a defined classroom radius. Unlike traditional systems, this prototype implements a temporal validation algorithm that requires an 80% connectivity threshold throughout the session duration, alongside periodic facial re-verification. The implementation utilizes a full-stack architecture (Node.js/Express) and demonstrates a scalable solution for institutional attendance management by combining biometric security with real-time location tracking.
