Theoretical and Conceptual Issues in Climate Change: An Overview of Key Concepts of Global Climate Change

The climate system has been observed to have altered considerably at local, regional and global scales. Human activities have great influence on the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which impact on the climate system with their attendant consequences. Many other factors such as the sun and water cycle also influence weather and energy balance. Despite the grave danger the earth faces due to threats of climate change and global awareness, most people have not been adequately made to understand the great challenges posed by the change such as food and energy security, ecological disasters and species extinction. This paper took a look at some conceptual issues pertaining to climate change in order to give an insight towards a sustainable management of our environment.
