Twenty trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and potentially archaeological featrurs investigated by hand. Almost all of the trenches revealed features, including medieval ditches and pits and possibly yard surfaces, and early to late post-medieval building foundations, pits and gullies. Some of these may relate to a previous manor house.
