An attempt has been made to explore that a comprehensive discussion about the evolution of democracy from the Vedic period to the present day. Before India's democratic system began its journey, our founding fathers understood that establishing justice in any place is not an easy task, and it faces threats from various quarters. In the Indian social system, democracy has acted as a harbinger of social empowerment. Observing the issues, it becomes clear that marginalized communities have organized themselves to challenge the social status quo. This solidarity has provided considerable depth to Indian democracy. Our constitution provides the foundation for a bicameral parliamentary democracy within a quasi-federal structure. Its objective is to establish a just society through socio-economic transformation, guided by constitutional institutions and the principles of the rule of law.
