Abstract

Software Heritage collects publicly available source code from numerous software projects and tracks their ongoing development. Outline1 Software as a pillar of modern society2 Meet Software Heritage: open, non profit, multistakeholder3 What’s under the hood?4 Tech team organization5 Tech stack6 Team’s "Continuous Improvement"7 Conclusions The presentation was delivered at the SLICES-FR (Scientific Large Scale Infrastructure for Computing/Communication Experimental Studies – France) workshop. SLICES-FR is the French node of the European Research Infrastructure SLICES-RI (Research Infrastructure) which has 16 partner countries for an expected operating period until 2040. European users of SLICES-RI will have access to the equipment operated by SLICES-FR and vice versa, French users registered on SLICES-RI will benefit from access to equipment from European partners.
