Gender stereotypes, insufficient awareness, lack of political motivation, illiteracy, and domestic responsibilities are prevalent issues that exclude women from the political sphere. Given that awareness of the political system, political rights and obligations, and citizen responsibilities influences participation levels, research on the comprehension of political institutions, political leaders, voting rights, and the assertion of these rights is crucial. This paper examines the political knowledge among women's groups. The article examines the position of women in Indian politics from a political standpoint. This research paper examines women's participation in politics, the current state, challenges, and the political future of women. The involvement of women in contemporary politics differs significantly from that of two decades prior. Politics has constituted a tough challenge throughout world history. Politics has manipulated individuals, caused violence on the pretext of safeguarding religion and preserving the lives and property of citizens. Consequently, politics has served as a domain for both ordinary individuals and those who exhibit harsh and vicious behavior. Politics has been influenced by the physical prowess of males and the accompanying vanity. Consequently, the involvement of women with relatively gentle dispositions in politics has been minimal globally. Women's participation in politics has been an anomaly not only in India but across global history. Since independence, the proportion of women's engagement in politics has progressively increased. The principle of gender equality is articulated in the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and Directive Principles of the Indian Constitution. The Constitution has not only conferred equal status upon women but has also authorized the state to implement affirmative action in their favor, which remains necessary today. In various domains, women are confronting difficulties with vigor and decisiveness, asserting their power. New political dimensions are emerging that promote equal encouragement for women, albeit primarily at the Panchayat level. The local Sarpanch has facilitated the success of women candidates in numerous Panchayat elections, thereby unlocking new avenues for advancement.
