La Profilée currently comprises more than 140 working papers spanning formal derivation, physics, biology, organizational theory, personal identity, AI alignment, design, and societal systems. This paper serves as the entry point for new readers. It addresses three questions that no single paper in the series answers directly: why the theory is named La Profilée, why it is not a framework, and in which order its papers should be read. The first question is answered through the origin: La Profilée began as a watch design — a physical object whose Frame-Module-Coupling architecture existed in material form before any theorem was written. The structural principle held across watches, furniture, jewelry, and technical objects at different scales before the formal derivation confirmed it as a structural necessity. The name names the form, not the theory. The second question is answered through the distinction between frameworks and constraint laws. A framework is chosen. La Profilée is not chosen — it is derived from three minimal conditions, and its persistence condition either holds for a system or the system cannot persist. This places La Profilée in the structural class of constraint laws alongside the second law of thermodynamics and Pauli's exclusion principle. The third question is answered through a four-layer structure of the paper series — origin, formal core, structural extensions including the derivation of time and information as structural consequences, and domain applications — combined with four reading paths depending on the reader's entry point: understanding, verification, domain application, or falsification.
