Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly emerged as a transformative force in education, influencing teaching methodologies, learning environments, and institutional practices. While AI offers significant advantages such as personalized learning, accessibility, and automation, its increasing integration raises critical concerns regarding the nature and purpose of education. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of AI in teaching and learning by synthesizing pedagogical insights and philosophical perspectives. Drawing on theories of teacher professional knowledge and relational education, the study argues that AI enhances skill-based learning but cannot substitute the human elements essential for holistic education. The paper highlights the need for a balanced model that integrates AI technologies with human-centered teaching practices. Implications for mathematics education, teacher training, and future research directions are also discussed.
