Deliverable D3.3 presents the second prototype (Beta release) of the micro-mobility safetysystems and services developed in Work Package 3 (WP3) of the SOTERIA project. Building directlyon the Alpha version of the components as they were described in D3.1, this report documentsthe substantial technical maturation required to move from early prototypes to pilot-ready,integrated solutions capable of supporting real-world demonstrations across the consortium’spilot sites. The document addresses all the challenges faced in urban micro-mobility safety environmentslike collecting reliable, high-resolution data from diverse sources, under real operating conditions;detecting hazardous situations in near real time; providing context-aware safe-speedrecommendations; assessing the use of protective equipment; and delivering timely evidencebasedbehavioral guidance to vulnerable road users (VRUs). It details the upgraded hardwaredesigns, calibration procedures, data-processing pipelines, machine-learning models, geospatialmethodologies, and software architectures developed to overcome these obstacles.
