This study examined the effects of hairdressers’ interpersonal skills on their job attitudes in the beauty service industry. An online survey was conducted from October 1 to October 30, 2025, targeting hairdressers working in salons located in the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. Of the 310 collected questionnaires, 306 valid responses were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis (principal component analysis with Varimax rotation), reliability analysis (Cronbach’s α), Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Interpersonal skills were categorized into three factors: empathic understanding, open trustworthiness, and interactivity. Job attitudes were composed of organizational commitment, service performance, and turnover intention. The findings indicated that empathic understanding and open trustworthiness positively influenced organizational commitment, while all three interpersonal skill factors had significant positive effects on service performance. Only open trustworthiness showed a significant negative effect on turnover intention. These results highlight the importance of trust-based relationship competencies in enhancing organizational outcomes and reducing turnover intention. The study provides empirical implications for developing relationship-focused human resource training programs in the beauty service sector.
