This paper presents the results of the bioarchaeological analyses carried out on two assemblages from Uruk: one originating from the latest archaeological excavation in Area Fd 28-2/A1, and a second one from the 1989 excavation in Area P6. Within the framework of on-site hands-on training, the new data provide an innovative contribution to the reconstruction of burial practises as well as a better informed and more engaged perspective for the future of bioarchaeological research at the site.
