The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 transforms India’s education system from a rigid , rote-learning model to a flexible, multidisciplinary, and learner-centric system. The policy recognizes technology as a critical enabler for transforming teaching-learning processes, assessment systems, teacher training, and educational governance. Digital initiatives such as online learning platforms, virtual laboratories, digital repositories, and the National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR) aim to create a flexible, inclusive, and learner-centric ecosystem. This paper examines the concept of digital transformation under NEP 2020 by analyzing its objectives, methodology, outcomes, challenges, and future implications. The study highlights both the opportunities and constraints associated with digitalization and emphasizes the need for robust infrastructure, digital literacy, and policy support to achieve the envisioned transformation.
