The importance of values for the preservation and development of the village and their significance for strengthening Russian society are highlighted. Rural areas are characterized, their characteristics and features are identified, as are factors influencing the manifestation and development of traditional values among villagers. A comparison of the values of rural and urban residents and schoolchildren is made based on a survey conducted in recent decades. Research results are presented, demonstrating the development of traditional values characterizing villagers' attitudes toward the village, the rural community, work, and family, as well as the transformation of these values among young people in recent decades. Attention is drawn to the emergence and spread of eco-settlements in rural areas, demonstrating the restoration, preservation, and development of traditional values, new experiences of interactions among villagers, their attitudes toward raising children, nature, and a healthy lifestyle. Trends in the development and transformation of traditional Russian values in rural areas are identified.
