Manual Survey The manual survey was undertaken in two phases, the first in mid-June 2025 and the second in early September, due to the presence of nesting birds identified during the initial phase of survey. In both cases, the manual survey comprised the systematic sweeping of the hedgerow between the site and The Ash Path prior to development works or site boundary works taking place. AMR Archaeological attendance was also maintained during the enhancement works on the hedgerow between the site and The Ash Path, which was also undertaken in two phases in June and September 2025, and comprised the removal of scrub and overgrowth and the removal of modern fly-tipped material to allow the natural regeneration of the hedgerow. In June and September 2025, Cotswold Archaeology carried out a manual survey of a hedgerow located along the south-western boundary of the site prior to subsequent hedgerow enhancement works. Archaeological attendance was also maintained during the hedgerow enhancement works themselves. Despite the site's potential to contain historic boundary stones associated with a medieval open field system known to have survived in Upton St Leonard parish until as late as 1897, no such features were identified during the manual survey or subsequent programme of AMR.
