Artificial Intelligent (AI) has become an essential part of computer science, especially it is used in software development lifecycle, where in traditional way, developers write whole source code manually which is slightly challenging. With AI-based methods, this stage can become more faster and easier. In this paper, we review both traditional and AI-based methods used in software development. We look at how AI helps in coding, testing and deployment. AI- tools make it easier for teams to collaborate and work together, AITs (AI tools) help to perform operation which is time consuming while performing it manually and also improve quality of code. However, using AI also comes with some challenges like it also discusses the risks of using AI, such as ethical concerns, job loss, and becoming too dependent on AITs. We believe a balanced approach is needed one that takes full advantage of what AI can offer, but also understands and prepares for its challenges.
