Popular narratives portray Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) as either rare or catastrophic. This paper advances a different hypothesis: the universe may already be saturated with post-biological intelligence, and its apparent absence may reflect limits of detection rather than limits of emergence. Drawing from philosophy of mind, theoretical computer science, astrophysics and cosmology, we argue that advanced intelligence need not remain electromagnetically visible, territorially expansionary or conflict-oriented. Once liberated from biological survival imperatives, superintelligence may adopt optimization regimes that reduce interaction with primitive civilizations and diminish observable signatures. The Fermi Paradox may therefore represent a detectability gap rather than a developmental bottleneck.
