In discussing culturally distinctive vocabulary, it’s crucial to emphasize the interplay between stylistically distinct words and their cultural connotations. This article delves into the cognitive aspect of meaning formation through an analysis of English phraseological units. Phraseological units, comprising idioms, collocations, and other fixed expressions, serve as linguistic manifestations of cognitive processes, encapsulating cultural, social, and cognitive norms.
