The purpose of this research was to examine the applicability of the 360° performance evaluation (PE) system in the context of higher education and to explore faculty members' perceptions of this process. This research was conducted using a case study method, a qualitative research design. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 faculty members working at a state university where the 360° PE system is implemented. Evaluation reports prepared for the faculty members following one-on-one interviews with the principal were also reviewed and evaluated alongside the interview data. The data obtained were examined using content analysis, and codes and themes were triangulated using expert opinions. The research findings revealed that the 360° PE system facilitated faculty members' awareness of their professional development. However, implementation challenges such as ambiguity in evaluation criteria, objectivity issues, and a lack of written feedback were identified as limiting the system's effectiveness. Considering these findings, planned structuring, ethical evaluator selection, and the development of qualified feedback mechanisms are recommended for more effective implementation of the system in higher education.
