Abstract IIoT and cyber-physical systems transform industries through intelligent and adaptable automation. As connectivity increases, cybersecurity dangers escalate. Certain methods for ensuring safety are ineffective in decentralized industrial environments. This study examines how blockchain safeguards the transmission of IIoT and Industry 4.0 data, creates immutable records, and regulates access via smart contracts. We examine blockchain for device authentication, data integrity, and decentralized access management. The paper provides practical examples of how blockchain may enhance transparency, trustworthiness, and resilience in many sectors.
