The main objective of the study is to identify the direct and indirect means through which the Federal Supreme Court can evaluate the legislative performance of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and the extent to which these means contribute to evaluating that performance. The study also aims to achieve balance and effectiveness within the state between the legislative and executive authorities through the supervisory role exercised by the Court as a specialized judiciary that examines the extent to which the actions of the legislative and executive authorities comply with the provisions of the constitution. The researcher followed the descriptive-analytical approach to achieve the objectives of the research. We reached a set of results, the most important of which is that the Federal Supreme Court played a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the constitutional and legal system by monitoring legislative performance and ensuring compliance between laws and the constitution. Through its supervisory jurisdiction exercised over the legislative and executive authorities, it contributed to establishing the principle of balance between them.On the other hand, we recommend enhancing transparency in the work of the Federal Supreme Court by publishing its decisions and interpretations in an open and easily accessible manner to the general public, in addition to enhancing interaction between the Court and civil society to ensure broad representation of societal interests in the process of evaluating legislative performance.
