This study aims to analyze and examine the strategic and geopolitical importance of the Horn of Africa region. The Horn of Africa region enjoys a significant strategic location at both the international and regional levels. Its importance is further enhanced by its vast mineral wealth, most notably oil, as well as other resources. The study addresses international competition over the Horn of Africa region, a region that has been and continues to be the focus of international powers as a major transit point for international trade and the primary gateway for Arabian Gulf oil. The study also highlights the competition between the United States and China in the Horn of Africa regionThe hypothesis of this research is that the Horn of Africa region, due to its strategic location, has made it a meeting point for international interests. Consequently, this region has become a focus of international competition and has a place in the strategic perception of competing international powers, due to its location and control over the movement of global trade.
