The purpose of this research is to investigate the main problems companies face during large construction projects in terms of project management. The study employs a qualitative method of analysis to identify the difficulties during the construction stage, the tools that are commonly used as well as the logistical issues that usually arise, and how they influence the normal course of the project. The stakeholder theory was used in our research and interviews have been conducted with the project managers of large construction projects. The study shows the problems every project faces, the main stakeholders that exist in each project, and the impact of logistics on the successful completion of it. It was found that problems that are part of the logistics sector contribute significantly to construction delays and increase the cost of every project. The research considers four construction projects in Chapter 2 and eight in Chapter 4. The outcome of the study shows that it is very difficult for large construction projects to avoid problems that affect their on-time and on-budget completion no matter how well-planned they are. Since the consideration of risks at all stages of the construction process is essential to investors, entrepreneurs, and regulatory bodies, the utilization of new approaches for their management during the strategic planning of investment projects is vital. The findings are useful for the construction community as well as for researchers to understand the insightful issues in construction projects in Greece.
