This scoping review will map and synthesise the available evidence regarding knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) of undergraduate dental students related to HIV/AIDS and the dental care of people living with HIV. The review will focus on contemporary evidence produced in the antiretroviral therapy era, considering the substantial epidemiological, therapeutic and social changes associated with HIV infection over the last decade. The study will explore educational preparedness, infection control knowledge, stigma related attitudes, willingness to provide care, perceptions regarding professional responsibility, and patient centred approaches in dental education settings. Studies involving questionnaire based, survey based, qualitative or mixed methods designs will be considered. The findings are expected to identify current educational gaps, regional patterns and emerging trends in HIV related dental education, as well as to support the development of more comprehensive educational strategies aligned with chronic disease management, patient centred care and contemporary professional competencies in dentistry.
