Key Points
This study aims to investigate how various eating utensils affect swallowing dynamics during liquid ingestion.
Randomized trial conducted with participants using different eating utensils while ingesting liquids.
Swallowing dynamics were measured and compared among the different conditions.
Significant differences in swallowing dynamics were observed based on the type of utensil used, with spoon and straw showing distinct effects.
Participants using spoons had a faster swallowing response compared to those using straws (p<0.05).
