Forensic accounting has emerged as an essential discipline for combating financial fraud, corruption, money laundering, cybercrime, and corporate misconduct. In Bangladesh, rising concerns over bankingfraud, tax evasion and weak corporate governance have heightened the demand for forensic accountingprofessionals. This paper examines the adaptation of forensic accounting into professional accounting andbusiness education and evaluates its benefits for professional sectors and industries. The study exploreschallenges, technological tools, implementation frameworks, and strategic recommendations. A mixedconceptual–empirical method is adopted, combining secondary literature with an illustrative survey (n =220) and an OLS regression linking awareness, curriculum adequacy, and analytics skill to perceivedfraud-detection capability. Findings indicate that integrating forensic accounting into CA, CMA, ACCA,MBA and university programs can significantly strengthen fraud detection, audit quality, transparency andstakeholder confidence in Bangladesh. Keywords: Forensic Accounting, Bangladesh, Fraud Detection, Professional Education, CorporateGovernance, Audit, Financial Crime, ACCA, ICAB, ICMAB
