This Expression of Concern is for the above article, published online on March 14, 2023 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), and has been issued by agreement between the journal Editor‐in‐Chief, Prisca‐Maryla Henheik; and Wiley‐VCH GmbH, Weinheim. The Expression of Concern has been agreed upon following concerns raised by a third party. An investigation identified a duplication between the “no emulsion” image shown in Figure 4 of this article and the control images published earlier in another article by the same authors. The authors cooperated with the investigation and provided some supporting data. They also explained that the experiments for the two articles were conducted simultaneously as part of the same study, and the same control image was reused to allow comparison across articles. However, this reuse was not disclosed in the published article, and separate controls were not provided for each test emulsion. Therefore, the journal has decided to issue an Expression of Concern to inform and alert readers.
