This technical addendum extends The Resonant Synthesis Engine by formalizing a compact set of substrate-independent metrics for quantifying coherence, instability, and recovery across complex systems. Three operational measures are introduced: the Coherence Gradient (∇C), which captures the rate of change in system coherence; Phase Variance (σφ), which quantifies internal alignment among interacting components; and Trajectory Curvature (K), which measures the geometric intensity of state redirection. Together, these metrics define a Safe Operating Envelope (SOE) and support the classification of system behavior into Stable, Drift, Marginal, Fractured, and Recovering regimes. The addendum also introduces a Composite Stability Index (CSI), outlines intervention strategies for active stabilization, and presents experimental and observational evidence from reaction-diffusion simulations, the Resonance AI Sandbox (RAS), independent engineering analyses, and cross-system correspondence with the Synergos architecture. The resulting framework provides a quantitative stability grammar applicable across physical, computational, biological, cognitive, and organizational systems. Representative applications include conceptual drift detection in multi-agent reasoning systems, adaptive monitoring of distributed infrastructures, and stability analysis within Human-Adjacent System Design (HASD). This work extends the Resonant Synthesis Engine from a conceptual framework into an operational methodology for measurement, simulation, intervention, and adaptive control across diverse substrates.
