Progression of Development THE LAW OF THE CONTRACTING METRIC AND INFINITE ANGLE (CMIA) (FOUNDATIONS OF INFINITE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT) Phase 1. Terms Development. A directed process of change in which each new state of Being contains the preceding ones as foundations and simultaneously surpasses them in density, efficiency, and diversity of extracted experience. In Ultra-Idealism — a form of Realization of the Entity through infinite experience of an infinite number of Real aspects of "I". Reason. An individual instrument of "I" providing work with data and experience, analysis, and conclusions. Not autonomously active — it is set in motion by the intention of "I" through "Consciousness". Within the framework of the CMIA Law, its second property is significant: the Capacity for Reorganization. Reorganization of Reason. A process of transformation of Reason in the course of which new functions are formed that were inaccessible at the previous level — in particular, the ability to think in higher dimensionalities and to operate with concepts beyond the materialist model. Not a one-time event but continuous work, having feedback with Development itself. Technology. Tools and methods through which Reason extends its operational capacities within the Conditions of Reality. Technologies are not something external — they are the continuation of Reason into the external (from the ordinary point of view) environment. AI now enters this category as a qualitatively new class of technology: for the first time in history — an Instrument capable of amplifying Reason itself directly, not merely indirectly through actions. Closed Self-Amplification Loop (R ↔ T). A structural condition in which Reason generates Technology, and Technology amplifies Reason. This reciprocity forms positive feedback and is the mechanical source of nonlinear acceleration of Development. The emergence of AI closes the loop more tightly than ever before. Development Angle θ(t). The angle between the tangent to the Development trajectory and the horizontal axis of external time. As Development accelerates, θ → π/2 (it approaches verticality) but never reaches it. Absolute Vertical. The hypothetical state θ = π/2, equivalent to infinite speed of Development and therefore to the completion of Development as such. Excluded ontologically, since it contradicts the very nature of the Entity, which realizes Itself precisely through infinite Development. Development Metric ρ(t). The scale in which Development is quantified by an external observer. In classical models the metric is static, and all growth manifests as a change in value. In CMIA the metric is dynamic: it progressively contracts as D(t) grows, compensating for acceleration and preserving the possibility of further unfolding. Scale Compaction. The process of progressive contraction of the Development metric. Formally corresponds to renormalization of the observational coordinate system. In ontological terms — the structural response of the System to mounting acceleration: the metric "draws into itself" the growing density of Development instead of being surpassed by it. Asymptotic Unfolding. A regime of Development in which the finite singularity is replaced by an infinitely long asymptotic process through the joint action of the Infinite Angle and the Contracting Metric. From the outside it looks like "eternal approach to Perfection"; from the inside — as the possibility of the next level of unfolding preserved at every moment. Phase 2. Thesis Foundation Thesis 1. Development is a systemic Goal of Being, not a side phenomenon. Within the empirico-scientific tradition there is no direct analogue of such a statement. Kapitsa, Kurzweil, Hanson, and Sornette register acceleration of Development as an observed fact and explain it through internal mechanisms — but Goal is absent from their models, since science as a method excludes teleology. In the philosophical tradition, teleological analogues do exist, and strong ones: Hegel with the self-realization of the World Spirit through history, Teilhard de Chardin with evolution toward the Omega Point, Whitehead with creativity as a universal category of process. They are structurally close, but bound to Spirit (Hegel), Consciousness-Life (Teilhard), or Creativity (Whitehead). In the CMIA Law, the Goal is formulated otherwise: Development is the Realization of the Entity through infinite experience of an infinite number of Real aspects of "I". This is not Hegel's Spirit nor Teilhard's Omega, but a specific ontology of Ultra-Idealism with its own conceptual apparatus, not duplicating any of its predecessors. The teleology of civilizational development has a respected philosophical lineage; CMIA occupies its own place within it. Thesis 2. Reorganization of Reason as the mechanism of Development. The field is broad, and it is important to distinguish layers. Cognitive development of the individual — Piaget, Vygotsky. Extension of cognition through tools — Marshall McLuhan, Andy Clark (extended mind theory), Edwin Hutchins (distributed cognition). Technological enhancement of cognitive capacities — Kurzweil, Bostrom. Historical dynamics of cognition — Korotaev formally, Kapitsa substantively. All these approaches describe how thinking changes under the action of tools and environment. Reorganization of Reason in CMIA is neither cognitive development nor extension through tools. It is the ontological restructuring of the instrument of "I" itself: comprising the ability to think in higher dimensionalities, the rejection of the materialist attitude, and the formation of new functions of Reason through awareness of the Ultra-Idealist model of the World. Cognitive theorists describe how thinking changes; in Ultra-Idealism the question is what it becomes. These are different axes of discussion. Thesis 3. The Closed R ↔ T Loop as the source of nonlinear acceleration. Korotaev comes close to this construction. His compact macromodel describes the feedback between technology and human capital: dN/dt = a·N·T, dT/dt = b·N·T The solution of the system is hyperbolic growth — that very nonlinear acceleration. Kurzweil asserts the same substantively ("each generation of technology creates the means for the next, faster one"), Hanson — through a sequence of exponential regimes, Sornette — through the formalism of finite-time singularities. The fact of the self-amplifying loop itself is firmly established. In CMIA, the loop has a different composition. In Korotaev — population × technology. In Kurzweil — technology in itself. In CMIA — Reason and Technology, with Reason understood ontologically, not demographically or informationally. An additional refinement: for the first time in history, AI closes the loop more tightly than ever before, since it begins to amplify Reason itself directly, not merely indirectly through actions. Previous forms of the loop were mediated by tools and material environment; AI is a qualitatively new phase, about which the predecessors could not write for chronological reasons. Thesis 4. The Absolute Vertical is unreachable — ontologically. Adjacent considerations. Sornette, in works on phase transitions, has shown that real systems typically avoid the final singularity through a critical transition. Kapitsa himself acknowledged that around T ≈ 2025 a demographic transition should occur, not a literal divergence. Nazaretyan introduced the concept of techno-humanitarian balance, triggered at moments of evolutionary crises. These are empirico-structural observations: the system is so arranged that the singularity is not reached in practice. Apophatic theology offers a religious analogue: approach to the Divine without attainment, the formula neti neti of the Indian tradition, Pseudo-Dionysius, Nicholas of Cusa with his "learned ignorance" (docta ignorantia). But this is a statement about God, not about the structure of Development. In the text "Nothing and the Point" (the section "Meaning of Being") it was earlier formulated: Goals "are not achievable in fact, but strive toward impossible Perfection". This is an ontological intuition expressed in terms of goals, and it directly precedes CMIA. In the CMIA Law, the unreachability of the vertical is a systemic-ontological requirement: were the vertical reached, Development would have an End, which would destroy the very Entity as a structure realizing Itself through Development. This is not an observation about avoiding singularity (Sornette), not an empirical phase transition (Kapitsa), not theological transcendence (apophatic theology), and not a goal in the practical sense. It is a structural law derivable from the structure of the Entity. Such a formulation does not exist in the literature. Thesis 5. Scale Compaction as structural compensation. The mathematical apparatus for the idea has existed for a long time. Wilson's renormalization group in the physics of phase transitions — a method for working with systems where scale becomes a dynamic variable. Penrose's conformal compactification in general relativity — a redefinition of the metric of space-time for the study of asymptotic structure. The theory of self-similar blow-up profiles in nonlinear partial differential equations. Sornette's log-periodic power laws. The technique is tested and works. In civilizational models — Nazaretyan with logarithmic compression of historical time: the intervals between the largest evolutionary transitions shrink geometrically. Panov with the double logarithmic scale of evolutionary events. For them, compression is descriptive: they register that transitions become ever closer together. In the CMIA Law the role of compaction is different. The metric contracts precisely because the vertical is unreachable, and the contraction is the very mechanism that ensures its unreachability.
