We have previously proposed a three-dimensional radiated sound field reproduction system that uses directional loudspeakers and wave field synthesis. However, because this system is based on the premise that the acoustic signal reproduced by the radiated loudspeaker array is obtained by convolving an acoustic transfer function with the sound source signal, this system has the disadvantage that it takes a great deal of effort to directly record the sound source and to create an acoustic transfer function database. In this talk, we theoretically study the sound field reproduced in the previously proposed sound field reproduction system when the size of the surrounding microphone array is different from that of the radiated loudspeaker array. We show that the three-dimensional radiating sound field, in which the speed of sound changes and the size is expanded or contracted, is faithfully reproduced when the sound recorded by the surrounding microphone array is reproduced by the radiated loudspeaker array, if the arrangement of the microphones and directional loudspeakers is similar.
