The Impact of Turkish Regional Security Policy on Political Stability in Iraq after 2003 The objectives of Turkish regional policy towards the Middle East after 2002, especially towards the US military occupation of Iraq in 2003, and how to deal with the political and security vacuum to avoid threats and risks to Turkish security and interests, as a result of the escalation of the activities of armed factions and terrorist groups especially after 2014, where Turkey sought to develop relations with Iraq in an attempt to enhance its influence, by employing all its capabilities to strengthen its relations with the political elites in Iraq in the face of the American and Iranian challenge. Several conclusions have been reached, including the following: 1. Iraq constitutes a vital arena for Turkish regional policy towards the Middle East to achieve its national interest security after 2003.2. Turkey sought to prevent war against Iraq and therefore refused to participate in it, in an attempt to exploit the political and security vacuum in Iraq to serve its national security interests after 20033. Turkey uses all its capabilities to enhance its influence in Iraq to serve its security interests in competition with Iranian influence.
