The commencement of the 2025–26 term marks not merely a transition in leadership, but a renewed commitment to reimagine the trajectory of Periodontology in India. As we reflect upon the first quarter of this term, it is evident that our collective vision is steadily transforming into purposeful action. This year, we have consciously adopted a decentralized and participatory model of functioning, with the introduction of Townhall Assignments—a strategic initiative designed to empower regional leadership, amplify member engagement, and ensure that the voice of every zone contributes meaningfully to shaping the Society’s academic and professional agenda. This approach reflects our belief that true progress lies in inclusivity, collaboration, and shared ownership. In alignment with this vision, we issued a nationwide call for Expressions of Interest, inviting institutions and members from across all regions to actively participate in organizing key public health observances, including National Periodontist Day, World Oral Health Day, and Oral Hygiene Day, alongside a robust year-long calendar of scientific programs. The enthusiastic response underscores the collective strength, unity, and commitment of our fraternity toward advancing periodontal health awareness. A defining initiative of this term is the re-envisioning of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate curriculum in Periodontology. As the discipline continues to evolve rapidly, it is imperative that our educational framework reflects contemporary scientific advancements, clinical innovation, and global benchmarks. This initiative aims to shape future-ready clinicians, academicians, and researchers who will carry the specialty forward with competence, critical thinking, and conviction. A significant step toward strengthening evidence-based clinical practice and fostering responsible industry collaboration is the introduction of the Indian Society of Periodontology Seal of Acceptance for Oral Care Products. In an era marked by an expanding array of oral health products and increasing claims of efficacy, the need for independent scientific validation has become paramount. The ISP Seal of Acceptance is envisioned as a hallmark of scientific credibility, awarded following rigorous evaluation by periodontal experts to ensure that products meet defined standards of safety, quality, and clinical effectiveness. This initiative will guide clinicians in making informed, evidence-based recommendations while empowering patients to identify trustworthy oral care solutions. Furthermore, it is expected to encourage manufacturers to adhere to higher standards of research, transparency, and innovation, thereby fostering a collaborative ecosystem between academia, clinicians, and industry for the advancement of periodontal health. Equally heartening has been the overwhelming response to the ISP MDS Dissertation Grant program, with approximately 185 research proposals received. This remarkable participation reflects a vibrant and growing research culture within our community and reinforces our commitment to nurturing inquiry, innovation, and evidence-based practice at the grassroots level. As we move ahead, our focus remains steadfast—to build a Society that is academically progressive, globally relevant, and socially impactful. Together, we aspire not only to advance Periodontology but to redefine its role in comprehensive healthcare delivery. I extend my sincere appreciation to all members for their trust, enthusiasm, and unwavering support as we embark on this transformative journey. Warm regards,
