Addyman Archaeology undertook a programme of Historic Building Recording at the Tom of Cluny steading to the north-east of Aberfeldy. A comprehensive digital photographic record was made of the steading and the building to the south. All external elevations, interior spaces, and fixtures and fittings of interest were recorded. Where available, printed plans and elevation drawings were annotated on site with phasing information and analytical observations. The complex was made up of an U-shaped steading and an associated rectangular structure to the south. The Steading appeared to be originally composed of three separate buildings dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. The ranges were progressively connected, first between the central and west range, then between the central and east ranges. The central range was also raised to create a second storey.
