Statement of the problem. The aim of the study: to study the kinesthetic and olfactory experiences of architectural perception in detail. The objectives of the study are to identify the reasons for less theoretical study (compared to visual experience), to reveal the essential characteristics of kinesthetic and olfactory experiences, to classify the signals that form kinesthetic experience and olfactory experience. Results. The reasons for the poor study of the non-visual components of the perceptual apparatus of architectural perception — kinesthetic experience and olfactory experience — are considered. Current research on the multisensory nature of architecture is analyzed. The signals received from architecture by the recipient through the synthesis of touch, kinesthetics, hearing, and smell are categorized. Conclusions. Deepening our understanding of perception allows us to expand our understanding of architecture as a channel for social communication, and to better understand the capabilities (and lack thereof) of perception in certain categories of people. This has direct practical application in the form of increasing the inclusiveness and accessibility of architecture — the better we know how the recipient perceives architecture, the better we can design and implement architecture that will communicate with the recipient at various accessible levels.
